MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, earned him the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution company. It reached the top 8 spot according to the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca was an instant Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel on Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina within the year following. He appeared in 2021 as a duo TINI for her online single Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo was raised in a musical family both his parents also are musicians. According to him, musicality was an integral aspect of his daily life. He began learning to play the guitar, saxophone piano, and ukulele as the age of a small child. His initial goal was to become a veterinarian his brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in lessons in singing with the help of a Cuban teacher and the end consequence of discovering the talent as a performer changed his entire life.
